Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

You don’t need a referral to book with our physiotherapists, but if you do come to us as part of a Medicare plan, please bring your referral to your initial appointment.

How long is a physiotherapy appointment?

Initial appointment – 45 minutes

This appointment involves a thorough musculoskeletal assessment to provide you with a clear diagnosis and understanding of contributing factors to your injury.

We will work with you to develop an individualised treatment plan that utilises expert hands-on care and evidence-based rehabilitation.

Follow up appointment – 30 minutes

Follow-up appointments involve a re-assessment of your injury, manual therapy techniques to reduce pain and a review and progression of your exercises.

Long appointment/consultation – 1 hour

We encourage you to book a long appointment if you have a complex or long-standing injury.

This ensures enough time to listen to your story, provide a thorough musculoskeletal assessment and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

This appointment is also appropriate if you have two different injuries to assess.

Speak to our friendly team if you’re unsure about which appointment is right for you.
