What can I expect from the initial assessment?

At Biosymm, we know that not every health journey looks the same.

That’s why we undertake a comprehensive initial assessment to understand your health goals and injury history before beginning classes.

The initial assessment will involve:

  • Identifying any current pains and/or symptoms
  • A general musculoskeletal screening to understand range of motion and strength
  • A real-time ultrasound to assess the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles strength

Once completed, we will create a tailored clinical Pilates program to suit your needs and goals, all in a safe and welcoming environment.

How long is an initial assessment?

Initial consultation – 45 minutes

A one-on-one consultation involves a thorough examination of your injury history, movement and muscle strength.

This will also include an assessment of your pelvic floor using real-time ultrasound.

This allows our team to tailor and modify exercises to your individual needs.

  • All patients are required to have an initial consultation before starting
Supervised exercise consultations – 45 minutes

A one-on-one session involving floor and reformer Pilates.

Supervised group classes – 45 minutes

Small group classes of three-to-one involving floor and reformer Pilates.

  • Options are available to purchase at cheaper rates in 5 or 10-class packs

Based on your needs, equipment used in our clinical Pilates classes may include:

  • Reformer machines
  • Cadillacs
